Qutaiba Buyabes is a practicing architect, artist and photographer based in Kuwait. Growing up in childhood and teenage worlds immersed in movies, fantasy books, and pop rock music, his photographs cinematically capture a melancholic dreaminess and nostalgic foundation. Memories and nostalgia being core themes of his work, he experiments with film and digital photography of different formats to create photographs that feel like stills from an old memory or a forgotten dream from different times of your life.
